What would you say if I told you that if you wanted the best shot at meeting a full-blown narcissist, the best place to look for one would be in a local church?

I’m not kidding – it’s true.

The rates of bumping into someone with narcissistic personality disorder in our culture are roughly 1 in 10. Sure, everyone’s got a touch of it, but statistically very few of us are full blown narco.

However… if you visit a church – the likelihood of bumping into a narcissist goes thru the roof! For realz, they’ve done studies – around the globe. Our churches stock narcissists like Bass Pro Shops stocks rods and reels. 

Why is this, and more importantly, how can we prevent this? What does a church look like when it refuses to play narcissistic games?
